Brainsight Updates
Brainsight 1.7.7 (all versions) was released April 11. Added support for the LabJack A/D converter to supply a more reliable TTL trigger input for the rapid fire acquisition mode. Fixed a bug that could (rarely) lead to a crash and result in a corrupted project file. Updated Keyspan Serial driver to version 2.5. Updated Smart Crash Reports to 1.5b2 which now supports Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
Brainsight 1.7.6: Improved segmentation for non-isotropic data sets. Added STL export for 3D surface meshes. Updated FTDI serial driver to 2.2.9 for Polaris Vicra. Misc bug fixes.
Brainsight TMS 1.7.5 was released on 2007-12-15. It includes a new grid tool, improved 3D segmentation for skin rendering and many bug fixes and enhancements. A new version of Brainsight Primate with improvements to the 3D segmentation tool and chamber tool is planned in early January.
Brainsight Primate 1.7.4, and Brainsight Lite 1.7.4 were released on 2007-09-28, and are available for download here. Mac OS 10.3.9 or newer is required. If you are running Mac OS X 10.3, please run Software Update to update. If you are a Polaris owner, you may need to run a firmware updater to upgrade the firmware on your Polaris. If you are a Polaris Vicra owner, you do not need to upgrade the firmware.
Note to Analyze and NIfTI image users. We have been working to improve support for NIfTI, particularly ".nii" versions in this release. It is strongly recommended that you verify that the orientation is correct in Brainsight (use a fiducial marker on the subject's right during the scan) before performing any experiments. Please advise us if you encounter any issues.
There are no known compatibility issues with the current version of Brainsight and OS X 10.5 Leopard.
The Tool Archives are also available for download.
